9 Players Whose Great Stats Were All For Nothing

Aside from a gruesome injury or an Andre Roberson jump shot, there's nothing more painful to watch in the NBA than a talented player wasting his time on a truly atrocious team. Some are legit stars who got saddled with a bad team or a former role player who put up the numbers because no one else was going to, there are plenty of examples that could go on this list. So many in fact that this definetely won't be the only list I make on this subject. But for now, these are 9 players whose great stats were all for nothing. Chris Webber (1994-95) Chris Webber hadn't even been in the NBA for a year and a half before he had been traded for the second time in his career in 1994. Following a falling out with coach Don Nelson, the former #1 pick & Rookie of the Year exercised a one-year escape clause in his contract, which led to the Golden State Warriors agreeing to a sign-and-trade deal with the Washington Bullets for Tom Gugliotta and three first-round picks, one of whi...

7 Players Who Basically Committed Robbery This Season

Image made by @TJBiddle Let's be honest, some NBA players make a lot more money than they have any business making. Granted, most NBA players make absurd amounts of money, but few would argue that players like LeBron James and Stephen Curry. Meanwhile, there are players that, while good, probably aren't worth the near 20 million dollars they make every year. Here's a completely unrelated picture of Allen Crabbe. The players on this list, however, are players whose performances this past season weren't even remotely worth the massive salary they pulled in. Whether they be players who put up lackluster numbers or players who just didn't play a lot, their lack of production despite an eight-figure salary was so bad it bordered on theft. The only rule for this list is that players who missed a large number of games during the season due to injuries will be excluded (aside from one player whose situation was a little different), so don't expect to see guys ...

6 College Basketball Stars Who Flopped in the NBA

Being a star in college doesn't guarantee that you'll find the same amount of success in the NBA. While they are guys like Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, and Kevin Durant who dominated both the NCAA and the pros, there are guys like Evan Turner, who isn't a bad player at all but isn't anywhere near the level that Jordan or Duncan was. Then, however, they're are players who were great players in college, only to completely fizzle out and be relegated to a bench role instead of achieving the superstardom they seemed destined for. With that out of the way, here are six college basketball stars who flopped in the NBA. Jimmer Fredette Starting off the list is a player I've already talked about on my list of players who didn't live up to their hype. Jimmer Fredette was an absolute phenom during his four years playing at Brigham Young University, averaging 18.7 points during his college career while shooting 46% from the field and 39% from three-point range....

ANOTHER 5 Draft Day Mistakes

With another NBA Draft recently taken place, I thought what better time to take a look back at some of the biggest mistakes that have ever been made on draft day. While I've already looked at this topic not once , but twice , there are still draft day moments that, in hindsight, have GMs kicking themselves over the decisions they made. With that out of the way, here are 5 more NBA draft day mistakes. Drafting Michael Olowokandi (1998) Back before Anthony Bennett pretty much became everyone's favorite punching bag, few would argue that the title of the worst #1 draft pick in NBA history belonged to Michael Olowokandi. Opting to enter the 1998 NBA Draft after a junior year where he averaged 22.2 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks per game. While Pacific's schedule was rather weak (they had a strength of schedule rating of -0.56), those are still impressive stats. So impressive that the Los Angeles Clippers decided to use the top pick in the draft to select him, pas...
