NBA Team of the Week (4/18/21-4/24/21)

It's Monday, you know what that means! It's time to take a look back at the past week and see who the best players were around the league. Selections are based mostly on the player's stats, but (minus the rookie of the week) their team's record during the week is also taken into consideration. Click here to check out last week's if you missed it . If not, let's get into this. Point Guard: Luka Dončić While they're in playoff contention right now, the Dallas Mavericks have been a bit disappointing this year. Having an early MVP front runner and one of the better centers in the league, I said before the season started that the Mavericks look like they have a bright future ahead of them. However, we haven't seen that bright future just yet. They're currently 6th in the West right now and hold a playoff spot, but you'd expect more from the team that has one of the absolute best players in the league right now. TRADE ALERT: The Cleveland Cavaliers Made Four Trades in One Day

Considering how the Cleveland Cavaliers have been having a pretty rough season. considered one of the best teams in the NBA just last season, the Cavaliers aren't even a top-five team in the league right now, as they currently sit with a 30-21 record on the season and with the 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference, just half a game ahead of the 4th seed Washington Wizards. They've struggled with inconsistency over the last few months and several players (Isaiah Thomas & Jae Crowder to name a few) have been woefully under-performing. It was clear changes they need to be made, and with the trade deadline being today, they needed to be made quickly. And they did. The day before the trade deadline, the Cavaliers made four separate trades, sending away six players and a first-round pick for four new players and a second-round pick. The Cavs sent Isaiah Thomas & Channing Frye to the Los Angeles Lakers for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr., Derrick Rose & Jae Crowder to ...

There's nothing worse than seeing a player with so much talent & potential have it taken away because they got hurt. Joel Embiid missed two years of his career after breaking the navicular bone in his right foot while we have yet to see if Ben Simmons' can succeed now that the foot injury that cost him his rookie season has healed. Some players like Paul George are able to recover from bad injuries and resume their careers as normal. However, some players end up being hounded by injuries for the rest of their careers, stopping them from reaching their potential and continuing to play at high levels consistently. Here are 6 NBA players who had their careers ruined by injuries. Derrick Rose Let's start off this list with what has to be the most infamous example among active players. In 2008, Derrick Rose was coming off a single year at the University of Memphis where he led the Tigers to a record of 38-2 ( or if you ask the NCAA, 0-1 ) and took them to the NC...
