NBA Team of the Week (2/7/21-2/13/21)

It's Monday, you know what that means! It's time to take a look back at the past week and see who the best players were around the league. Selections are based mostly on the player's stats, but their team's record during the week is also taken into consideration. Click here to check out last week's if you missed it. If not, let's get into this. Point Guard: Luka Dončić After a rough patch knocked them down in the Western Conference standings, the Dallas Mavericks have managed to correct the course and are approaching a .500 winning percentage once again. After winning just two of their last nine games, the Mavericks now find themselves with lots of momentum on their side following a perfect 3-0 week, improving their record to 13-14 on the year. This week did see a huge jump by Kristaps Porziņģis, but the obvious leader is my frequent selection for the top point guard of the week; Luka Dončić. For the week, Dončić averaged 33.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, 9 assists,...

10 Best Players of the Week (2/18-2/24)

( NOTE: If you're wondering where guys like Anthony Davis & James Harden are, they only played one game this past week, and I only include people who played at least two games during the week, so they weren't eligible for the list. The same goes for players like LaMarcus Aldridge, DeMar DeRozan, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. With that out of the way, I hope you enjoy this week's edition of the 10 Best Players of the Week!) 10 Best Players of the Week (1/7-1/13)

With another week of the NBA season in the books, in the pocket, and out of sight, it's time to take a look at the best players of the last week. If you missed last week's, click here . If not, let's get into it, these are the 10 best players of the week. Damian Lillard The Portland Trail Blazers really needed a strong week to push them ahead in the Western Conference. Instead, the split 4 games and went 2-2 on the week, giving them a 22-20 record on the season. They now find themselves in the 6th seed in the Western Conference, only one game ahead of the 9th seed-Los Angeles Clippers. Despite their bad week, one of their players had a great showing, and that was Damian Lillard. For the week, Lillard averaged 26 points, 8 assists, and 2.5 steals per game while shooting 47% from the field.  Kevin Durant Coming off a week that saw him miss two games, Kevin Durant returned to the court following a calf injury. After missing one game this week, Durant helped lead t...

10 Best Players of the Week (12/31-1/6)

With another week of the NBA season in the books, in the pocket, and out of sight, it's time to take a look at the best players of the last week. If you missed last week's, click here . If not, let's get into it, these are the 10 best players of the week. DeMarcus Cousins The New Orleans Pelicans are still an average team, and every single week that statement is reinforced. Following a 1-1 week, the Pelicans are at 19-19 record on the year, about as average as you can get right now. Still, the Pelicans have two sure-fire all-stars this season who, despite their team's lackluster performance this season, have been excelling. The first of those players is DeMarcus Cousins, who even on a slightly off week still put up some of the best numbers of the week. For the week, Cousins averaged 21 points, 13 rebounds, a steal and 2 blocks per game while shooting 59% from the field, 44% from three-point range, and 92% from the free throw line.  John Wall As the top three ...

Top Performances of the Night (10/1/17)

Welcome back to the Top Performances of the Night. Here are the top three performers from last night's NBA preseason games. John Collins Kicking off the list we have John Collins, the Atlanta Hawks' rookie forward out of Wake Forest. Collins, despite struggling with his shot, was able to come through in a big way on the rebounding end during Atlanta's loss to the Miami Heat last night. Collins grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds, 10 of which were on the defensive end, and added 9 points on 2/6 (33%) shooting. Louis Williams Up next is Louis Williams, who came off the bench during the Los Angeles Clippers' loss to the Toronto Raptors last night, but was able to put up solid scoring numbers along the way. Williams recorded 17 points on 4/9 (44%) shooting and went 9/12 (75%) from the free throw line. Additionally, Williams grabbed four rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Kyle Lowry Rounding out the list is Kyle Lowry, who was a key factor in the Toronto...
