14 Biggest NBA All-Star Snubs of 2021

In the midst of this unorthodox season, the 2021 NBA All-Star Game is fast approaching. While we won't be getting most of the added events like the Three-Point Contest or the Skills Challenge (and, to be honest, we could probably do without an all-star game this year), the main attraction is still going on, giving us a look at the best the NBA has to offer. However, not everyone gets selected to the big game, and there are always people who get snubbed. So, these are my 14 picks, 7 from the Eastern Conference and 7 from the Western Conference for the biggest all-star snubs of the season. East: Jerami Grant Starting off for the East we have one of the front runners for the Most Improved Player Award in Jerami Grant. The Detroit Pistons have been an absolute disaster this season, but their free-agent signing this past offseason in Grant has paid off huge, as he's gone from a supporting cast member to a legit first option in one season. For the season, Grant has averaged 23.3 poin...

NBA Team of the Week (1/17/21-1/23/21)

It's Monday, you know what that means! It's time to take a look back at the past week and see who the best players were around the league. Click here to check out last week's if you missed it . If not, let's get into this. Point Guard: Trae Young After a strong start to the season, the Atlanta Hawks have mellowed out significantly since the start of 2021, currently sitting at 8-8 on the year after starting the season 4-1. This past week, however, the team has looked as good as they did to start the year, going a perfect 3-0 behind the excellent play of Trae Young. Young, who had also been on a slump after a strong start to the year, broke his cold streak and put up one of the best stat lines in the entire league. For the week, Young averaged 33.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 9.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game while shooting 50% from the field and 59% from three-point range. Young would score a season-high 38 points against the Pistons this week, only to top that two days l...

NBA Team of the Week (12/22/20-12/26/20)

After last season's abrupt suspension and eventual end in October, the NBA is back and the 2020-21 season is underway. Now that the first week (or five days) of the season is in the books, it's time to look back at the top performers at each position this week. Now, like last year, I'm taking a player's team's record into consideration, but the most important thing is still their stats. Also, I will be adding a 6th man (or any bench player) and rookie of the week to this series. So, let's get into this. Point Guard: Trae Young The Atlanta Hawks came into this season with a lot of potential. Despite finishing low in the standings for the past three seasons, the additions the Hawks made this offseason have given them a good shot at making the playoffs in my opinion. And so far, they've lived up to that potential, starting off the season strong with two double-digit wins. The majority of the core has played well, and Trae Young has been the undisputed top guy f...

NBA Team of the Week (10/22-10/26)

The 2019-20 NBA season is upon us, and with the first week (well, five days) in the books, it's time to look at who were the best players in the league during that time. Now, in the past I've done the best players of the week and just that. However, I've come to realize that the way I ranked the players favored big men a lot more than guards. That would explain why Dwight Howard was getting player of the week spots over guys like DeMar DeRozan, a player few would argue that Howard was better than in 2018. So now, I'm doing a "Team of the Week", similar to what Pro Football Focus does with the NFL. So with that out of the way, this is the NBA's Team of the Week for the past week. Point Guard: Trae Young While they haven't faced the toughest competition to start the season, the Atlanta Hawks come out of the gates hot, winning both of their games in the first week. That success is mostly thanks to Trae Young, who has had one of the best starts to...

10 Players With The Most To Prove This Season

The 2018-19 NBA season is about a month away, which means every player will get another full season to showcase what they can do. Whether they be young players looking to find their footing or veterans looking to show they still have what it takes to play at a high level, every one of them is looking to prove themselves this upcoming season. The players on this list, however, have the most to prove out of anyone. Whether it be a second-year player who had a rough rookie season, a player who's been injured frequently in his career, or a player looking to bounce back from a rough year, these are the 10 players with the most to prove in the 2018-19 season. Trae Young Out of all the players selected in the 2018 draft, the one who has received the most attention (outside of maybe DeAndre Ayton or Luka Doncic) is arguably Trae Young. Young first gained national attention during last year's college basketball season, during which he lead average a nation-best 27.4 points,...
