14 Biggest NBA All-Star Snubs of 2021

In the midst of this unorthodox season, the 2021 NBA All-Star Game is fast approaching. While we won't be getting most of the added events like the Three-Point Contest or the Skills Challenge (and, to be honest, we could probably do without an all-star game this year), the main attraction is still going on, giving us a look at the best the NBA has to offer. However, not everyone gets selected to the big game, and there are always people who get snubbed. So, these are my 14 picks, 7 from the Eastern Conference and 7 from the Western Conference for the biggest all-star snubs of the season. East: Jerami Grant Starting off for the East we have one of the front runners for the Most Improved Player Award in Jerami Grant. The Detroit Pistons have been an absolute disaster this season, but their free-agent signing this past offseason in Grant has paid off huge, as he's gone from a supporting cast member to a legit first option in one season. For the season, Grant has averaged 23.3 poin...

ESPN's Top 10 2009 High School Recruits: 10 Years Later

The 2019 NBA Draft is in the books and the 2019 freshman class are months away from making their college careers, so that means it's time for me to copy something I did last year . It's been 10 years since the Class of 2009 committed to their colleges of choice and took the next step in their careers. These 10 players were rated higher than everyone else by ESPN, and now, I'm going to take a look at how they're careers turned out. And before I start, here are some notable players who didn't crack the top 10. Khris Middleton ranked #82. He played at Texas A&M University for three years before declaring for the 2012 NBA Draft. He was selected 39th overall by the Detroit Pistons and holds career averages 15.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game and career shooting percentages of 45% from the field and 39% from three-point range. Additionally, he is a former all-star in 2019. Kawhi Leonard ranked #56. He played at San Diego State Univers...

Top 10 Players of the Week (11/4-11/10)

With another week of the NBA season in the books, in the pocket, and out of sight, it's time to take a look at the best players of the last week. If you missed last week's, click here . If not, let's get into it, these are the 10 best players of the week. John Wall The Washington Wizards have been an utter dumpster fire to kick off the season. While they've avoided the bottom of the Eastern Conference (mostly thanks to fellow dumpster fire the Cleveland Cavaliers), they currently hold an abysmal 3-9 record on the season. While they did manage to go 2-2 on the week, but they are still in the bottom three of the East. While the Wizards' season has been pretty bad, John Wall himself is having a solid season for himself, with this week, in particular, being one of his strongest of the season so far. For the week, Wall averaged 24.3 points, 9.5 assists, and 2.8 steals per game while shooting 46% from the field and 40% from three-point range. Maybe the Wizards can ...

7 Players Who Should Make the All-Star Reserves (Eastern Conference)

Yesterday, the NBA announced the starters for the 2018 All-Star Game and named leading vote-getters LeBron James & Stephen Curry as the team captains. With 10 all-star spots in the books, that leaves 14 spots left, 7 for each conference. Today, I'm going to give my thoughts on who I think should be the reserves. Starting with the Eastern Conference, here are 7 players I think should make the all-star game. Andre Drummond His team might be having the strongest season so far (the Detroit Pistons are 22-21 on the year), but Andre Drummond has been having a fantastic season. Drummond has been putting up some of the best numbers of his career, is having his best season since his all-star selection in 2016, and has shown a huge improvement in his free throw shooting. For the season so far, Drummond averages 14.5 points, a league & career-high 15 rebounds, a career-high 3.8 assists per game, a career-high 1.6 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 54% from the fiel...

10 Best Players of the Week (1/7-1/13)

With another week of the NBA season in the books, in the pocket, and out of sight, it's time to take a look at the best players of the last week. If you missed last week's, click here . If not, let's get into it, these are the 10 best players of the week. Damian Lillard The Portland Trail Blazers really needed a strong week to push them ahead in the Western Conference. Instead, the split 4 games and went 2-2 on the week, giving them a 22-20 record on the season. They now find themselves in the 6th seed in the Western Conference, only one game ahead of the 9th seed-Los Angeles Clippers. Despite their bad week, one of their players had a great showing, and that was Damian Lillard. For the week, Lillard averaged 26 points, 8 assists, and 2.5 steals per game while shooting 47% from the field.  Kevin Durant Coming off a week that saw him miss two games, Kevin Durant returned to the court following a calf injury. After missing one game this week, Durant helped lead t...

10 Best Players of the Week (12/31-1/6)

With another week of the NBA season in the books, in the pocket, and out of sight, it's time to take a look at the best players of the last week. If you missed last week's, click here . If not, let's get into it, these are the 10 best players of the week. DeMarcus Cousins The New Orleans Pelicans are still an average team, and every single week that statement is reinforced. Following a 1-1 week, the Pelicans are at 19-19 record on the year, about as average as you can get right now. Still, the Pelicans have two sure-fire all-stars this season who, despite their team's lackluster performance this season, have been excelling. The first of those players is DeMarcus Cousins, who even on a slightly off week still put up some of the best numbers of the week. For the week, Cousins averaged 21 points, 13 rebounds, a steal and 2 blocks per game while shooting 59% from the field, 44% from three-point range, and 92% from the free throw line.  John Wall As the top three ...
