NBA Team of the Week (1/24/21-1/30/21)

It's Monday, you know what that means! It's time to take a look back at the past week and see who the best players were around the league. Click here to check out last week's if you missed it. If not, let's get into this. Point Guard: Damian Lillard Before the season started, I expressed my doubts about the Portland Trail Blazers even making the playoffs this year. While they haven't been as bad as I thought they were going to be, they haven't been spectacular by any means. Currently 10-8 on the season, the Blazers went .500 on the week with two wins and two losses. They're not playing well enough to avoid the play-in tournament, but they're are staying afloat so far, and a big reason they've been doing that is Damian Lillard. As usual, Lillard has been among the league's best point guards this season, and this week, he was the best of the bunch. For the week, Lillard averaged 34.8 points, 5 rebounds, and 9 assists per game while shooting 51% f...

11 Players With the Most to Prove in the 2019-20 Season

With the 2019-20 NBA season just about two months away, there is no shortage of players who are looking to make their mark in the league. From the incoming class of rookies to the star players now on championship-contending teams, they're all looking to prove something to everyone. Then there are these 11 players. From former all-stars looking to rebound after a rough season to sophomores looking to wash away the stink of a mediocre rookie season, these are the players that have more to prove than anyone else in the league. Now, I did want to give two honorable mentions to Bol Bol and Cam Reddish for this list. Bol was projected to be a lottery that slid all the way to the middle of the second round. He'll be looking to prove to everyone that he is still the lottery-level talent he was projected to be, but based on his draft position, I'm not sure if he'll be on the roster or in the G-League for most of the season. Reddish, on the other hand, had an underwhelming seaso...

5 Most Shocking Moves This Offseason

With the new NBA season on the horizon, it's safe to say that we can pretty much close the book on the 2018 offseason. In a summer that saw LeBron James leave the Cleveland Cavaliers for a second time to head to the Los Angeles Lakers and the escalation of the Jimmy Butler drama in Minnesota, this offseason was one to remember. However, some of these moves made really came out of nowhere, and that's what I'm looking at today. Honorable mention goes to Michael Carter-Williams getting signed because...I mean, it's Michael Carter-Williams. So with that out of the way, these are the 5 most shocking moves of the 2018 offseason. Toronto Raptors Trade Away DeMar DeRozan When someone is arguably the greatest player in the history of a franchise, you'd assume that that player's spot on the roster is almost a guarantee for as long as that player wants it. That's what I imagine a lot of people thought about DeMar DeRozan. Drafted with the 9th pick in the 2009 d...
