ESPN's Top 10 2009 High School Recruits: 10 Years Later

The 2019 NBA Draft is in the books and the 2019 freshman class are months away from making their college careers, so that means it's time for me to copy something I did last year . It's been 10 years since the Class of 2009 committed to their colleges of choice and took the next step in their careers. These 10 players were rated higher than everyone else by ESPN, and now, I'm going to take a look at how they're careers turned out. And before I start, here are some notable players who didn't crack the top 10. Khris Middleton ranked #82. He played at Texas A&M University for three years before declaring for the 2012 NBA Draft. He was selected 39th overall by the Detroit Pistons and holds career averages 15.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game and career shooting percentages of 45% from the field and 39% from three-point range. Additionally, he is a former all-star in 2019. Kawhi Leonard ranked #56. He played at San Diego State Univers...

Los Angeles Clippers Acquire Kawhi Leonard AND Paul George

It was no secret that the Los Angeles Clippers were among the favorites to land the reigning Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard. Not only did they manage to sign the Leonard away from the defending champion Toronto Raptors, but they also acquired one of the best players in the league today along the way. Along with Leonard, the Clippers completed a trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder to get MVP-candidate Paul George in exchange for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari, four unprotected first-round picks (The Clippers' 2022, 2024, and 2026 picks and the Miami Heat's 2021 pick), the Clippers lottery protected 2023 first-round pick, and the right to swap picks with the Clippers in 2023 and 2025. Aside from the Brooklyn Nets, it's hard to argue that any team has had a bigger offseason than the Los Angeles Clippers after these huge moves. First off, they're adding Kawhi Leonard on a 4-year, $140.79 million deal. As I said, Leonard is coming off a single season with the Ra...

What Every Team Did On Day One of Free Agency

Day one of the 2019 NBA Free Agency is in the books. With nearly $3 billion dollars spent on 60 different players, it might be a bit challenging to know where everyone is going with all the different breaking news stories and occasional Woj Bomb. So that's why I'm here. I'll go through what each team gained and what they lost, and what I think of all the moves. Atlanta Hawks Following last year's official start of their rebuild, the Hawks still had a bad season going 29-53 on the year. However, they do have a talented young core to build around in Trae Young, John Collins, and Kevin Huerter. Along with adding DeAndre Hunter and Cam Reddish through the draft, a solid free agent signing could be just what the team needed to make a potential push for a playoff spot. That was not the case. The Hawks failed to sign anyone and in the process lost Dewayne Dedmon to the Sacramento Kings. Luckily, Dedmon was the only important free agent they had, so the damage isn...
