14 Biggest NBA All-Star Snubs of 2021

In the midst of this unorthodox season, the 2021 NBA All-Star Game is fast approaching. While we won't be getting most of the added events like the Three-Point Contest or the Skills Challenge (and, to be honest, we could probably do without an all-star game this year), the main attraction is still going on, giving us a look at the best the NBA has to offer. However, not everyone gets selected to the big game, and there are always people who get snubbed. So, these are my 14 picks, 7 from the Eastern Conference and 7 from the Western Conference for the biggest all-star snubs of the season. East: Jerami Grant Starting off for the East we have one of the front runners for the Most Improved Player Award in Jerami Grant. The Detroit Pistons have been an absolute disaster this season, but their free-agent signing this past offseason in Grant has paid off huge, as he's gone from a supporting cast member to a legit first option in one season. For the season, Grant has averaged 23.3 poin

NBA Team of the Week (2/14/21-2/20/21)

It's Monday, you know what that means! It's time to take a look back at the past week and see who the best players were around the league. Selections are based mostly on the player's stats, but (minus the rookie of the week) their team's record during the week is also taken into consideration. Click here to check out last week's if you missed it. If not, let's get into this. Point Guard: Damian Lillard With the Western Conference remaining the stacked conference in the NBA, the Portland Trail Blazers might be getting lost in the shuffle a bit. However, they are having far from a bad season, as they're currently 18-11 on the year. Despite the extended absence of their second-best player in CJ McCollum, the Blazers remain a strong team in the West, going 3-1 this past week. And surprisingly, Damian Lillard has been the reason the Blazers have remained strong. For the week, Lillard averaged 35.8 points, 5 rebounds, 12.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while s

Point Guard: Luka Dončić After a rough patch knocked them down in the Western Conference standings, the Dallas Mavericks have managed to correct the course and are approaching a .500 winning percentage once again. After winning just two of their last nine games, the Mavericks now find themselves with lots of momentum on their side following a perfect 3-0 week, improving their record to 13-14 on the year. This week did see a huge jump by Kristaps Porziņģis, but the obvious leader is my frequent selection for the top point guard of the week; Luka Dončić. For the week, Dončić averaged 33.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, 9 assists,

If not, let's get into this. Point Guard: Luka  Dončić The Dallas Mavericks have been disappointing this year. After playing .500 basketball to start the season, the Mavericks fell off hard at the end of January and into February, losing six straight and dropping 8-13. This past week was a better look for the team, as they went 2-2, but they still find themselves in a hole at 10-14, the second-worst record in the West. Thankfully, Luka  Dončić didn't go into a slump like the team did as a whole, as he has remained one of the best point guards in the league. This week was no different, as he averaged 30.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 9.8 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 43% from the field and 43% from three-point range.  Dončić would cap off the week by matching a car

Raging Bulls: The Bizarre Time Bobby Portis Punched Nikola Mirotić in the Face and Made Him Better

December 9th, 1977 saw one of the most brutal punches in the history of non-punch-centric sports. In a match-up between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets, a battle for a rebound between the Lakers' Kermit Washington and Rockets' Kevin Kunnert escalated into a full-on fight at half-court. As Washington's teammate, the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, attempted to break up the fight (something both Abdul-Jabbar and Kunnert attest to) by holding Kunnert back, Washington landed a punch on Kunnert. There are details of the fight that have multiple, conflicting accounts, but what happened next is not up for dispute. Rockets' star forward Rudy Tomjanovich ran toward the fight in an attempt to break it up. Washington, not knowing Tomjanovich's intentions, delivered a vicious punch directly to Tomjanovich. The results were devastating. Tomjanovich suffered a facial fracture so severe it detached from his skull, a cerebral concussion, and a broken jaw & nose, a

While they haven't been as bad as I thought they were going to be, they haven't been spectacular by any means. Currently 10-8 on the season, the Blazers went .500 on the week with two wins and two losses. They're not playing well enough to avoid the play-in tournament, but they're are staying afloat so far, and a big reason they've been doing that is Damian Lillard. As usual, Lillard has been among the league's best point guards this season, and this week, he was the best of the bunch. For the week, Lillard averaged 34.8 points, 5 rebounds, and 9 assists per game while shooting 51% f
