Dwyane Wade Signs With the Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers have a had a strong showing this offseason, and it just keeps getting better. In addition to adding the likes of Isaiah Thomas, Derrick Rose, and Jae Crowder to the team, Dwyane Wade has officially joined the Cavaliers on a one-year, $2.3 million deal. Wade had agreed to a buyout of his contract with the Chicago Bulls only three days prior and now joins a Cavaliers team coming off a season where they made their third straight NBA finals appearance. The signing also reunites Wade with LeBron James, who together with Wade led the Miami Heat to two NBA Championships victories and four straight finals appearances along with Chris Bosh But most importantly, the Cleveland Cavaliers now have 2/3s...of the Banana Boat. Truly, the Cavs are now a force to be reckoned with. Wade is coming off a single season with the Bulls where he averaged 18.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.4 steals while shooting 43% from the field. As a Bull, Wade acted as the second scoring opti

All-NBA Underrated Team

There are so many talented players in the NBA that it's easy to miss some of them. Not every player gets the same attention that LeBron James or Stephen Curry does, but that doesn't mean that they aren't talented enough to be put in the spotlight. So I thought I'd take a look at who I think are the most underrated players at each position in the NBA, along with a few honorable mentions. Let's get right into it, this is my All-NBA Underrated Team. Point Guard: Mike Conley The point guard position in the NBA is so stacked right now that there are definitely some really good ones that get lost in the shuffle. I was debating between Mike Conley & Bledsoe for this spot, but in the end, I went with Conley. Last season, Conley averaged 20.5 points, 6.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 46% from the field and 41% from three-point range and leading the Memphis Grizzlies in points & assists. Conley continued his great play in playoffs, averaging

4 Eastern Conference Players Who Will Fill the Voids in the All-Star Team This Year

This offseason has seen several big moves, specifically in the Eastern Conference. Four of the 2017 Eastern Conference All-Stars have all moved from the East to the Western Conference, with Jimmy Butler, Paul George, and Carmelo Anthony all being traded to teams in the West while Paul Millsap signed with the Denver Nuggets. That leaves four spaces open on the East's All-Star Team for the 2017-18 season, and here are four players I think will take those spots. The only person exempt from this list is Kevin Love, who actually did make the All-Star team last year but had to pull out because of an injury and was replaced by Anthony. But with that out of the way, here are the 4 players I think will make the All-Star team this year in the Eastern Conference to replace the four who left. Gordon Hayward Let's start with the obvious one in the only Western Conference All-Star who moved to the Eastern Conference. Last season, Hayward made his first All-Star appearance as a memb

TRADE NEWS: Carmelo Anthony To The Oklahoma City Thunder!

Only one day after he expanded the list of teams he would waive his no-trade clause for, Carmelo Anthony is finally on the move. Anthony was traded from the New York Knicks to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Enes Kanter, Doug McDermott, and a second-round pick, aligning him with Russell Westbrook & Paul George to form a formidable force in the Western Conference. Anthony joined the Knicks in 2011 and helped turn the Knicks from a struggling below .500% team to a playoff contender. However, after the team went back to their losing ways and after a falling out with the Knicks' executive Phil Jackson, the writing was on the wall that Melo's time in New York was limited. Despite the Knicks poor play over the last four years, Anthony himself has continued to play great basketball. Anthony is a 10-time all-star who has never averaged less than 20 points a season. During his six & a half years on the Knicks roster, Anthony averaged 24.7 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.2 assists w

Why the Phoenix Suns Signed Anthony Bennett

One of the most shocking moves of the offseason has to the news that just broke yesterday. Anthony Bennett has been signed...by an NBA team. Shocking, I know. So yes, the Phoenix Suns have signed Anthony Bennett to a non-guaranteed deal. Bennett's career has been incredibly poor so far, bouncing around four teams over four years and averaging 4.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. So this leaves the question; why would a team sign a player who is possibly the worst player to ever be drafted with the first pick? What benefit does he bring to a team? Well, here's why I think they signed him... ... ... ... I got nothing.

7 MORE NBA Draft Day Mistakes

Recently, I took a look at 8 of the biggest mistakes ever made on draft day, which you can read by clicking here . Needless to say, there are more than just 8 draft day mistakes that have been made in the history of the NBA. With that being said, here are 7 more draft day mistakes. Trading Scottie Pippen for Olden Polynice (1987) Let's start this off with the first of two trades on this list. In the 1987 NBA Draft, the Seatle SuperSonics used the #5 overall pick to select Scottie Pippen out of Central Arkansas. However, they then decided to trade Pippen to the Chicago Bulls for the #8 overall pick Olden Polynice. That would end up being a big mistake. Polynice's career wasn't terrible, but it wasn't worth trading away their pick for him. Polynice had career averages of 7.8 points & 6.7 rebounds per game while shooting 50%. He spent the majority of his career bouncing around the NBA, playing on five different teams during his fifteen-year career. While not

8 NBA Draft Day Mistakes

When it comes to the NBA Draft, hindsight is 20-20. No matter how much scouting a team does, you can never tell for sure how good a college prospect will adapt to the NBA. With that in mind, some decisions have come back to bite certain teams in the ass. Whether it be drafting a bust right before taking an All-Star or trading away a bust for an All-Star, these decisions have gone on to haunt teams & fans for a long time. Here are 7 mistakes made on draft day. Drafting Al-Farouq Aminu over Gordon Hayward & Paul George (2010) Let's start with a simple one where a team selected an OK player over future all-stars. Coming off a poor 2009-10 season where they went 29-53, the Los Angeles Clippers got the #8 overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft and opted to select a small forward to replace Rasual Butler and pair up with Blake Griffen, who would be debuting next season after missing his entire rookie season due to injury. There were three viable options to choose from with the

6 MORE Players Who Could Break Out This Year

Recently, I took a look at 7 players that I thought could have breakout years in the 2017-18 season, which you can read by clicking here . However, there are more than 7 players who I think can shine this season. So with that being said, here are 6 more players who I think could have break out years in the 2017-18 season. Jusuf Nurkić In the last post, I took a look Nerlens Noel & Willie Cauley-Stein, two players who were in bad spots, but after a change saw improvement, with Noel getting traded to another team and Cauley-Stein getting moved to the starting line-up after the DeMarcus Cousins trade. Another player like them is Jusuf Nurkić. Starting the season on the Denver Nuggets, Nurkić found himself playing back-up to Nikola Jokić. Coming off the bench, played around 18 minutes a game and averaged 8 points & 5.8 rebounds per game on 51% shooting. However, he then found himself traded to the Portland Trail Blazers for Mason Plumlee, and that was all he needed to show w

7 Players Who Could Break Out This Season

Sometimes, all a player needs is a chance to show the NBA what they've got. Players like CJ McCollum, Jimmy Butler, and Jeremy Lin all played limited minutes at the beginning of their careers, only to get a shot to start and not look back. Butler is one of the best players in the NBA right now, McCollum is one-half of one of the best backcourts in the NBA, and Lin is an above-average, reliable starting point guard. Basically, some players just need a good amount of minutes to show what they can really do, and with all the moves this offseason, there are tons of unproven players who could get those minutes. With that being said, here are 7 players I think could breakout this season. Deyonta Davis The Memphis Grizzlies lost a big part of their team this off-season when Zach Randolph signed with the Sacramento Kings, leaving the starting power forward spot up for grabs between Brendan Wright, Jarell Martin, and Deyonta Davis. Martin is, if we're being honest, kind of trash
