Welcome back to the Top Performances of the Night. Here are the top 10 performers from last night's NBA preseason games.
Jodie Meeks
Starting off the list we have Jodie Meeks. During the Washington Wizards' victory over the Chinese Basketball Association's Guangzhou Long-Lions, Meeks came off the bench but made the most of his 16 minutes of game time. Meeks put up a team-high 19 points on 7/9 (78%) shooting and 4/5 (80%) from three-point range, while also grabbing 2 steals along the way.
Jeremy Lamb
Like Meeks, Jeremy Lamb came off the bench during the Charlotte Hornets' loss to the Boston Celtics and also led his team in scoring. Lamb put up 17 points on 6/10 shooting and 2/4 three-point shooting, while also adding 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and a steal to his resume.
Jarell Martin
Remember when I called Jarell Martin trash on my list of players who could break out? I was wrong...at least, for this game I was. Coming off the bench for the Memphis Grizzlies' win over the Orlando Magic, Martin put up 16 points on 7/8 (88%) shooting and also recorded 4 rebounds, an assist, and a steal.
Rashad Vaughn
The Milwaukee Bucks lost a close game to the Dallas Mavericks last night, but Rashad Vaughn got in a good stat line for himself. Coming off the bench, Vaughn put up a team-high 20 points on 8/18 shooting (44%) and went 3/8 (38%) from three-point range. Additionally, Vaughn grabbed 2 rebounds, dished out 2 assists, and recorded 3 steals
Rudy Gobert
Coming off a season where he was a serious Defensive Player of the Year candidate, Rudy Gobert put up a solid stat line in his preseason debut. For the game, Gobert scored 15 points on 7/9 (78%) shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds for a double-double. Gobert also recorded a block as he helped the Utah Jazz defeat the National Basketball League's Sydney Kings.
Rodney Hood
Gobert's teammate Rodney Hood also had a solid performance in the Jazz's win over the Sydney Kings. Hood recorded 17 points on 7/10 shooting and went 4/6 (67%) from three-point range while also dishing out an assist and grabbing 2 steals.
Frank Mason III
One of two Sacramento Kings rookies on this list, the 34th pick Frank Mason III had a solid game last night in the Kings' win over the San Antonio Spurs. Coming off the bench, Mason put up 17 points on 5/10 shooting and 2/4 three-point range. Along with that, the 6 foot Mason grabbed an impressive 6 rebounds while also dishing out an assist.
De'Aaron Fox
The second Kings rookie on the list is the 5th overall pick, De'Aaron Fox. Coming off the bench, Fox put up 16 points on 7/8 (88%) shooting while also recording a rebound, 2 assists, a steal, and a block.
Gary Harris
Yesterday, Gary Harris stood out above the rest as he had a huge scoring night in the Denver Nuggets' win over the Los Angeles Lakers. Harris put up a game-high 25 points on 8/11 (73%) shooting while also going 5/7 (71%) from three-point range. To top it off, Harris added 2 rebounds, an assist, and a steal to his stat line.
Kyle Kuzma
Rounding out the list we have Kyle Kuzma, a player I've talked about multiple times on this blog. After his strong showing two days ago, Kuzma continued his hot streak in the Lakers' loss to the Nuggets. Kuzma came off the bench and put up a team-high 23 points on 9/17 (53%) shooting, going 4/9 (44%) from three-point range in the process. Kuzma also recorded a rebound and 2 assists to round out his impressive stat line.
